Description

The University of Birmingham is a world top 100 university and part of the prestigious Russell Group. Its School of Computer Science is ranked 3rd in the UK for Research (REF’21) and 7th for Education (CUG’23), employing ~70 staff and teaching over 2000 students.
Within the School of Computer Science, the Birmingham Centre for Cyber Security and Privacy is a world leading group in security and privacy. The group is recognised as an NCSC Academic Centre of Excellence in Cyber Security Research (ACE-CSR), and leads the NCSC-certified MSc programme in Cyber Security.

CHERI Activities

Through the CAP-TEE project led by Prof David Oswald, the Centre for Cyber Security and Privacy has made various contributions to the development of CHERI, with a particular focus on confidential computing and trusted execution. We have further contributed to the dissemination of the CHERI ecosystem, among others by hosting the CHERITech24++ event in December 2024.
